Janie Leonhardt is a Medical Director of Dermatology at Kaiser Permanente, Washington. Dedicated to SOUND’s mission to restoring equity in behavioral health care through advocacy, inclusion and compassion, she joins the board with experience in over 25 years of medical practice. Her current leadership role includes strategic direction and development projects, operational excellence and quality, and financial stewardship for the service line. In addition, she sits on KP National Safety Committee and on the KP National Content Expert Panel in Dermatology. She is an active member of the Washington Permanente Medical Group Medical Specialty Peer Review Subcommittee.
Janie completed a six-year medical program through Northeast Ohio Medical University at the age of twenty-two and recently returned to Graduate School through Seattle University’s Leadership Executive, MBA program.
Outside of career, she is a trail runner, enjoys cycling internationally through Japan and Vietnam and cherishes time with her two high school and college age children.
