Curtis Kopf

Curtis was inspired to join SOUND’S Board of Directors because he believes in SOUND’s mission to provide mental health and substance use recovery services to King County’s most underserved communities. He brings to the board significant experience in technology-driven transformation and customer service. He has led digital and customer experience programs at Amazon, Microsoft, REI, Alaska Airlines and Premera Blue Cross. He currently serves as Group Vice President, Customer Experience at Insulet, the global leader in wearable technology for people living with diabetes.

An experienced board director, Kopf currently serves on the board of Nature’s Sunshine, a publicly traded natural supplements company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee. He also serves on the National Alumni and Champions Council for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America. Kopf served six years on the board of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Puget Sound, including two as chair.

He has an undergraduate degree in English from Brown University and a master’s degree in writing from Johns Hopkins. He and his wife Abbe have two children, Sam and Ellie. Curtis and Abbe are actively involved in supporting Team Survivor Northwest, a non-profit supporting women cancer survivors. They are passionate about mountain climbing in Seattle and around the world.
