IMAGINE, Sound’s annual fundraiser, has a new look for 2020! The event, held from 12 to 12:45 p.m. on Friday, October 23, is going all virtual, streaming live on YouTube, with a link to the live event being sent to registrants the day of the event. Sound, like many organizations, switched to a virtual format this year to ensure community safety for team members, clients and Sound donors. Though our supporters won’t be mingling in a hotel space or sitting together at a luncheon, this year’s event offers a number of new and different aspects to stay engaged. To kick off this year’s event, there will be a special event-only mocktail, expertly prepared by guest bartender, Gavin Ware, of El Gaucho Restaurants. The recipe will be sent out the week before the event for attendees to make the non-alcoholic beverage alongside Gavin.
For the first time, IMAGINE will feature a silent auction, with many great items to bid upon, which include a California Coast Air BnB vacation stay, a Seattle Kraken merchandise pack, a Holland America cruise, electric boat rentals from South Lake Union’s Electric Boat Rental Company and more! For those interested in the silent auction, you must provide your credit card information upon registration, but will not be charged unless you bid or make a donation. Auction bidding commences October 16.
In addition, journalist and event Master of Ceremonies, Mark Wright, will give live interviews during the event with Sound President & CEO, Patrick Evans, and Sound client, Johnna Sellers, who will share her story of overcoming challenges. The event will also include jazz performances by the Brian Kirk Quartet and Poet Ben Yisrael as well as a video featuring client successes.
“We are quite excited for IMAGINE this year,” says Susan Bean, Chief Development Officer, about the decision to host the event virtually and the many new event features. “Our goal is to raise $100,000 this year, so we hope you all can join Sound in this fourth annual event and support the amazing work that Sound and its clinicians do every day.”
