Chris Marino Business Administration Business Analyst

What is a business analyst and what do they do?
Business analysts enable change by defining business needs and recommending solutions. I think of myself as a high-level problem solver – I bridge the gap between operations and technology, streamlining processes, recommending new and different ways to more efficiently improve the way we do things.

What are some personal things you would like to share with our readers?
I’ve got 2 cats. Poke (like the fish dish – she came from Hawaii) and Haku. Poke can high-five. I tried teaching her other tricks but she just high-fives me a lot until I give up and feed her. She’s a lefty.

Do you have any hobbies that you’d like to tell us about?
Climbing, mountaineering, snowboarding, bikepacking and baking bread.

Shout out to the whole Biz Apps team for their quirky charm. Thanks to the warm environment y’all created, I already feel at home.

What is your favorite thing about working at Sound? 
Every day I get to give back. It’s nice knowing that my work creates a positive impact, instead of something more ethically nebulous like increasing profits.
