Asian Allies Group Formed to Address Hate

Since the COVID pandemic first began having a severe impact on our community’s health, there has been a sharp increase in attacks against Asian/Pacific Islanders in this country. As a result, online groups have been formed around the country to educate the public and draw support for Asian/Pacific Islanders. This support has come from healthcare professionals, teachers, community members, and nonprofits. At Sound, we encourage Team Members to be activated and become involved in activities designed to make positive change. The Sound DEJI (Diversity, Equity, Justice & Inclusion) program will be sponsoring workshops for Sound Team members and the public, on how to develop Anti-Racist activities that help support those impacted by hate crimes and biased behavior. For more information, contact diversity.inclusion@sound.health.

Sound team members have the opportunity to participate in pro-active, Ant-Racist groups who are committed to taking a stand against hate. Would you like to be an Asian Ally? Please join the Seattle-based FB group called Asian Allies to help amplify voices from the community and address issues.
