Internship/Volunteer/Extern Opportunities

Internships:

Expand on your education and improve your community as an unpaid intern or unpaid practicum student with Sound!  Sound offers various mental health and substance use disorder services to clients at several locations in the Greater Seattle area. To be considered for an internship, you must submit your Sound Internship Application, cover letter, resume, and a list of relevant coursework to .

Volunteers:

Give back and improve your community as a volunteer with Sound! Sound accepts volunteers in a variety of programs. For a list of these opportunities, please see the Overview of Programs for Volunteers.

In addition, Sound accepts peer volunteers to work in our Community Resource Rooms.

To be considered for a volunteer position, please complete the Sound Volunteer Application and send your resume to .   A cover letter is optional.

Externs:

Expand on your education and join Sound as an extern. This is a great unpaid opportunity for someone with a Master’s degree who is interested in gaining experience in the mental health field or looking for hours of supervision for licensure. Please be aware that as an extern you will be required to obtain an Agency Affiliated Counselor credential or higher credential with the state of Washington. This credential must be obtained within 60 days of your start date.
