Anxiety and Depression are on the rise. Sound is here to help.

A recent Washington Post article revealed Census Bureau data that showed that “a third of Americans are showing signs of clinical anxiety or depression.”  They go on to say that ” The findings suggest a huge jump from before the pandemic.  For example, on one question about depressed mood, the percentage reporting such symptoms was double that found in a 2014 national survey.” It is not surprising to see these numbers rise as we face this pandemic.  When times are uncertain and our challenges increase, it can also take a big toll on our mental health and well-being.

We have seen this increase firsthand at Sound.  Our own clients have expressed a greater need for connection and support and many new clients are reaching out to Sound for the first time.   For many of Sound’s clients, the added cost for behavioral healthcare is out of reach.  With your help, we are able to provide ongoing services such as teletherapy, medication management, housing, crisis services, vocational support, domestic violence support, child and family therapy and so much more.

With your support, we are able to positively impact the health and well-being of our communities. Together we are able to make a big difference in the lives of so many.
