Tell us something about yourself!

I recently welcomed a 4-month-old Pembroke Corgi into my life. Her name is Eowyn (yes, like Lord of the Rings). I am enjoying taking her on walks and playing keep away with her toys, but I am not really a big fan of the house training. Honestly, how can such a tiny animal make such huge messes?

What advice do you have for new team members?

Advocate for yourself by asking as many questions as you need to! No, you are not being a bother. No, you will not be dismissed on your very first day. I’d rather have a new team member ask 10,000 questions than just sit awkwardly at their desk because they’re unsure about what to do.

Do you have any hobbies that you’d like to tell us about?

I love starting to play a new video game and then never actually finishing it. I love overpriced stadium/event food (nothing says festivities like an $8 churro). I also like the idea of hiking more than I actually enjoy being outside.

Name someone here at Sound who has had a big impact on you? Briefly explain how they had an impact on you.

My supervisor, Cheri Smith, has played a pivotal role throughout my time at Sound. She has become a mentoring figure for both my therapeutic practice as well as my professional development. Words cannot express how grateful I am for all that she has done and continues to do for both our team and the program as a whole.

What is your favorite thing about working at Sound?

When I think about what I love about working at Sound, I think about community and our connection with our clients as well as each other. Being a lead clinician, one of my favorite things about my job is being able to support my team. We take a community approach to everything that we do.
