King County's Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Team MRRCT

Share:

SOUND’s Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Teams (MRRCT) provide an immediate, compassionate, and trauma-informed alternative to law enforcement for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. These teams, composed of highly trained mental health professionals and peer specialists, are available 24/7 to respond to community needs with de-escalation techniques tailored to each situation.

MRRCT operates with a person-centered approach, utilizing evidence-based crisis intervention strategies to help individuals in distress regain stability. Team members receive specialized training in de-escalation, harm reduction, and culturally responsive care, ensuring that each response prioritizes safety, dignity, and connection to essential services.

By addressing mental health emergencies without police involvement, MRRCT fosters trust within communities, reduces unnecessary hospitalizations and incarcerations, and provides individuals with the support they need to navigate their crisis with care and respect.
