Robert Stadler has been Sound’s board chair since January 2019, after joining the board in 2017. In his role, Robert ensures that the organization’s strategic direction and priorities are carried out and facilitates the board’s governance. Robert is also a member of the Facilities Committee, which has oversight of strategic decisions around the acquisition, use and operation of Sound’s properties and real estate assets; and the Finance & Audit Committees, which ensures accounting policies are in compliance and oversees the approval of the organization’s annual budget.
A finance and banking professional of nearly two decades, Robert currently is a Senior Commercial Relationship Manager at The Commerce Bank of Washington. Stadler began his banking career at the Federal Reserve in Boston and in San Francisco before moving into the wealth management industry. There, he served as a private banker for investment and wealth management companies Merrill Lynch, U.S. Trust, and Ascent Private Capital Management of U.S. Bank, providing banking advisory services to business owners, high net worth individuals and families.
Committed to civic engagement, Robert volunteers his time by serving on the board of Sound, on the athletics committee at the Washington Athletic Club and is a member of the Seattle #4 Rotary Club.

Stadler holds a B.A. degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, an M.A. in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University and a certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington.
