Sound Celebrates Black History Month

February is Black History Month, a time when Sound recognizes the contributions of African Americans to the behavioral health field.  A key figure who made immeasurable contributions is Dr. Inez Prosser, the nation’s first African American psychologist.  Her clinical research on the impact of segregation on African Americans predated the landmark Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision in 1954.
