Introduce yourself!

Hello!  I am Kristen Hiatt, Admissions Service Representative here at Sound!

Tell us something about yourself that we’d be surprised to learn.

I studied Geography in undergrad – my focus was on globalization, health and development. There’s a lot more to Geography than maps 😉  🌐

Do you have a favorite book, tv show or movie? What makes it your favorite?

My favorite book is Shantaram; it’s a fantastic combination of adventure and global health and it takes place in India, where I studied abroad.

Do you have any advice for new team members?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help! This field can get pretty overwhelming, but it’s full of awesome, supportive people!  🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Do you have any other hobbies that you’d like to talk about?

I love hiking and backpacking. I spent three weeks on the Pacific Crest Trail a few years ago and would love to hike the entire trail someday.

What is your favorite thing about working at Sound?

I get to learn about the intricacies of the mental health care system while helping people move closer toward their mental health goals every day!
