Tell us something about yourself that we’d be surprised to learn.
I love to sing and play the guitar! I am also a single mama to two boys ages 7 and 13 π
Do you have a favorite book, tv show or movie? What makes it your favorite?
I love Dateline because I am a total True Crime nerd.
Heard any good jokes lately?
Why couldn’t the pony sing a lullaby? Because she was a little horse π
Do you have any advice for new team members?
Always be mindful of giving yourself the same kindness and compassion we give to our clients, and of practicing and maintaining the healthy boundaries we teach our clients.
Sound appreciates our rich diversity of team members. Feel free to tell us about your cultural, ethnic, or racial background! What does Sound’s Diversity and Inclusion statement mean to you?
I am French and Hispanic! I absolutely LOVE what a melting pot of team members we have at Sound! I am a Libra and a passionate advocate of social justice and equality, and I especially appreciate the emails we receive from Sound regarding the recent events surrounding George Floyd and similar unjust events. Receiving the half-day off during the Derek Chauvin verdict meant so much to me, as I got to watch it live with my two sons who are part African American. Thank you.
Who at Sound has had a big impact on you? Briefly explain how they had an impact on you.
My supervisor, Keren Gott, has been such an amazing mentor and leader throughout this past year, and I would not be able to do my job to my full ability if it weren’t for her constant understanding, flexibility, and willingness to provide a listening ear at all times. I am so grateful for her.
What is your favorite thing about working at Sound?
Being able to provide Housing to homeless families!! The Willows in particular provides long-term housing to families who complete our 2-year program, and so far I have been able to help provide FOUR families their own home since starting as Case Manager here a year and a half ago. Housing is an invaluable resource that every family deserves, and so many in our city are without this necessity. I am so PROUD to be a part of an organization that actually puts in work towards a solution instead of turning a blind eye to homelessness. THANK YOU!
