Virtual Town Hall on July 29 – Police Use of Force, Reform

Sound invites you to participate in a virtual town hall exploring police reform on July 29 from 4-6 p.m. Police chiefs from several Eastside cities will be part of a community discussion and virtual town hall focusing on policing, use of force policies, and police reform. This will be an interactive session with chiefs from Kirkland, Bellevue, Issaquah, and Redmond participating.

New laws are being implemented that concern how law enforcement will be responding to suspects, police chases, and criminal activities. At Sound, we do interact with law enforcement at times and it is helpful to be knowledgeable about policies that can affect the safety of our clients and team members.

The DEJI (Diversity, Equity, Justice, Inclusion) program here at Sound will also be offering an online event that will focus on police policies and de-escalation techniques in August. For more information, contact diversity.inclusion@gmail.com.
