Sound Once Again Receives Highest Marks Achieving CARF Accreditation

Sound’s Executive Leadership Team is very pleased to announce that Sound has been awarded another Three-Year Accreditation from CARF International, which is the accreditation body for the health and human services industry, including behavioral healthcare. Given everything our organization has gone through in 2020, this is an absolute highlight for us and a true testament to the high-quality work and dedication our team members perform every day on behalf of the people we serve.

CARF conducted their observations of Sound from Sept. 21-23, 2020 and this process consisted of a review of Sound records and documentation, observations of operations at a number of our sites and interviews with clients, partners and team members. Specifically, the surveyors observed our Adult outpatient program, our outpatient program that serves Children and Adolescents, our Residential Treatment program and our Rapid Rehousing and Homelessness Prevention Program [SSVF], as well as our utilization of technology to improve efficiencies.

Overall, Sound received high marks throughout the organization. We want to thank all of you who participated in the surveys and who, every day, perform high-quality work on behalf of our clients. This accreditation is because of your hard work, dedication, and commitment. A special shout out to the entire Quality Improvement Team, Mary Alice Hanken, Megan Thal, Kay Hockeiser, Monica Saad and Doug Crandall, who were key in helping us achieve the accreditation.
