Sound Mental Health welcomes new Chief Executive Officer, Patrick C. Evans! Mr. Evans, who helmed Behavioral Healthcare Partners of Central Ohio, Inc. for the past 14 years, assumes duties at SMH on June 13.

Mr. Evans takes over for long time CEO, David R. Stone, who is retiring after 27 years as SMH’s leader and visionary.

Sound Mental Health, like many behavioral health providers today, faces a rapidly evolving health care landscape that increasingly incorporates behavioral health care into contemporary, outcomes-centric health care. Mr. Evans’ experience navigating these changes, from health care integration and merger and acquisitions to implementing health information technology, are well suited for the significant and promising changes ahead.

“Sound Mental Health is poised to play a major role in the evolving health care space,” said Dr. Stone. “I believe Patrick’s experience in business and implementing technology infrastructure, coupled with his success in directing program development and fundraising, will ensure that SMH will continue to be a key player in the years to come.”
